Print Head Missing and Unknown Cartridge Error is displayed in PrintHub. (LX3000, LX4000)

The print head missing error will be displayed when the printhead is not detected, not installed, or defective.  It may also be accompanied by a Cartridge Data Error if the print head is installed but not being read correctly.  

Note: When the print head is not detected, the ink tank percentages will not be visible.  This does not mean that the ink tanks are not detected.  To determine CMY ink tank status, you must have a valid print head installed.

If a print head is installed but the error persists, try the following solutions.

1. Clean Copper Contacts.
