Invalid values(s) error when attempting to change advanced settings on Mac (Eddie)

  1. Delete All Jobs from the Print Queue.  If there are any jobs stuck in the print queue, it can prevent some settings from being applied to the printer.
  2. Update Software and Firmware.  Follow the software update procedure found in this article. Make sure to do the firmware update when prompted otherwise, it is possible settings will be added to the software but not the firmware. The software will be out of sync with the firmware, which can cause this error. After the software is installed, IF you need to update, the first time you print or open your config utility, you will be prompted to send the firmware to the printer that has been downloaded to your computer.  To open the config utility, go to the Apple Icon – System Preferences - Printers and Scanners, select the PTI Color_Cookie, click on, Options & Supplies, and then Open Printer Utility.  Or simply print to the Eddie, and the Eddie Config Utility should automatically open.

  3. 3. Factory Defaults.
If your printer has a SN lower than 2220100000 this could be related to the factory default problem  on some of the printer.  First, perform the updates in step 1.  Second, restore factory defaults using this article.  If this does not fix the problem contact support to setup factory service to fix this problem.
