Do Primera Cartridges Expire? What is the cartridge shelf life?
Cartridges for inkjet label printers, disc publishers, portable printers, and photo printers do not expire!
That being said, cartridges can dry out over time, so we don't recommend purchasing more cartridges than you can use within two years. Most cartridges will print perfectly well beyond two years. If you use a cartridge and it does not work, contact tech support. We will help you clean the cartridge, and if we can't fix it, we will replace it. Visit this article for more details.
To determine the manufacture date, look for the 4-digit Julian date code printed on the inner foil or clear packaging. The first digit represents the year and the next three digits represent the day in that year (001-365). Example 0141 would be May 21st, 2020.
