Please refer to the systems specification section of the manual or the website for individual product specs.If you are planning to buy a new computer to run a Bravo unit use the following guidelines. These guidelines are meant to help you buy a sufficient computer.They are not meant to limit your choice of existing computers. You are not required to buy a computer like this to run a Bravo unit. Tech Support will never tell you to buy a specific computer.  They may ask you to try another computer.  It is always your decision to buy another computer for use with the Bravo.

Base Windows XP computer should include the following:

• Pentium IV Processor (2 GHz - 3Ghz is sufficient)
• 512 MB of RAM
• Windows XP Home or Pro (Not Media Center Edition or x64 Edition)
• 7200 RPM hard drive (excludes most laptops)
• USB 2.0 - (Bravo should be directly connected with supplied 6' cable. We do not recommend hubs, extensions or pass-through ports on other devices.)
• Laptops are not recommended.

Base Windows Vista computer should include the following:

• Pentium Dual Core Processor
• 1 GB of RAM
• Windows Vista Home Premium (Not x64 Edition)
• 7200 RPM hard drive (excludes most laptops)
• USB 2.0 - (Bravo should be directly connected with supplied 6' cable. We do not recommend hubs, extensions or pass-through ports on other devices.)
• Laptops are not recommended.
  
  The following are worthwhile upgrades that may improve your duplication speed and decrease the likelihood of rejected discs.

• 1GB of RAM for XP or 2 GB of RAM for Vista
• Two 7200 SATA hard drives - one for data to be burned and one for the OS and PTPublisher.
  
  

  Do not spend extra money on the following. They will have no effect on duplication performance and in some cases may hinder performance:

• High end quad core processors
• Graphics Cards
• Sound Cards
• High capacity hard drive (200 GB or higher) Purchase this only if you plan to store multiple disc images on the hard drive.

The base computer is a very basic computer that could be purchased for as little as $400 depending brand and processor speed.

Note: Remember that with any system you use to run the Bravo it is best not to run any additional programs while the Bravo is running.Also, minimize the number of processes running in the background. Running applications and excessive processes will decrease the RAM available for duplication purposes.

Note on Windows Vista   While our Bravo products will work perfectly fine on Windows Vista, there is no good reason to get Vista instead of XP.  In fact, if you are planning to buy a computer for the sole purpose of running the Bravo it is best to buy an XP computer.
