Unable to initialize Job Manager (Invalid Drive) Application will close. (PTPublisher Error) - No duplicator drives appear in My Computer.

A CD/DVD/BDR drive was not detected inside the unit.  There could be several reasons for this.

1. Update the PTPublisher software to version 1.2.4 or higher.  If you have Pioneer DVR 215 drive(s) in your disc publisher you may receive this error.  Updates can be found here.

2. If your drives do appear in My Computer but the description incorrectly says they are CD-ROM drives see this article.  Unable to initialize Job Manager (Invalid Drive) Application will close. (PTPublisher Error) - Duplicator drive(s) appear as CD-ROM in My Computer.

3. You are using an AutoPrinter.  If this is the case you do not need to use PTPublisher.  Simply print from SureThing or any application that you used to design your image.

4. You are using a Disc Publisher but the drives are not being detected by Windows.  This might be a temporary condition caused by unplugging the USB cable to your Disc Publisher and plugging it back in.  Sometimes Windows will recognize the drive but require a reboot before it is seen.  Reboot the computer.

5. Drive Letter Conflict.  If you have multiple mapped network drives, USB flash drives or other external drives that are removable it is possible that the those drives are attempting to share the same drive letter as the CD/DVD drive in the Bravo.  You can fix this by reconfiguring the drives in Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Disk Management.  The bottom half of the screen will show you all drives connected to the computer regardless of drive letter status.  Right Click on the drive and choose "Change Drive Letter and Paths".  Set the drive letters appropriately so that all drives have a different letter.

6. No burn engine is installed.
This problem could be caused by a corrupt or incompatible lower filter.  This is a crucial component to the operating system.  You must test the Bravo on another computer to rule out a hardware problem or contact Primera Technical Support prior to attempting this fix.

To replace your lower filter, log in to the PC as a local administrator and complete the following steps:

a. Go to the Start button and select Run. Type in Regedit and click OK.

b.
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

c. Double-click the LowerFilters string in the right pane.

d. Edit the Value Data so that only PxHelp20 appears.

e. Uninstall any Primera burning software (PrimoDVD, PTBurn, PTPublisher) in Control Panel\Add or Remove Programs.

f. Download and run removepx.exe.

g. Install the latest version of PTPublisher from our web site here

h. Reboot the PC. Do not reboot until you have reinstalled PTPublisher.

If the problem persists, you may need to remove other disc burning applications to resolve the conflict.
