1. Hard Reboot. Switch off the XRn using the power switch on the back of the unit. Use the momentary switch above the power supply and hold it for five seconds until the LCD is off. Wait a few seconds and toggle the same switch to turn it back on. The large switch on the power supply itself should always be left in the on position. However, if the XRn does not power back on, make sure this switch is turned on.
2. Find the XRn on the network. Go to any client computer that could previously find the XRn. 1. Go to My Network Places on the client computer. 2. Choose Entire Network. 3a. If you have made no modifications to your XRn, choose Workgroup. 3b. If you have added the XRn to your domain, choose your domain name. 4. Find the XRn on the list of computers. Typically it will be named XRN-2xxx. 5. Once you find the XRn you should be able to view the shared folders. There should be a shared folder named "PTPJobs". You should be able to read, write and modify the contents of this folder. If you can find the XRn on the network move on to #3 below.
3. Log into the XRn. Try to log on to the system via remote desktop or with a keyboard and Mouse. Use the instructions in section 2D of the user's manual. If you can't log on there may be a problem with the hard drive or other PC component that does not allow Windows to start. Once you log on to the system check the following 5 components: -
PTPService should be running - Start the service using Start - Run - Type "Services.msc"

PTI_LCD_Service should be running - Start the service using Start - Run - Type "Services.msc"

The drive in the XRn should appear in My Computer. There should only be one drive.

The printer driver (Disc Publisher XR) should appear in Printers and Faxes - you should be able to see the cartridge ink levels by right clicking on the printer - choosing Printing Preferences and then selecting Clean Change Cartridges and Check Ink...

Check for the PTPJobs shared folder at the root of the C:\ drive. Recreate the folder if necessary.
