The LX800 is printing very slowly or it takes a very long time to start printing.
Reboot. Make sure that you reboot after you install the printer driver and the Nice Label software. Modifications to the registry that were made during installation will not take effect until you reboot the computer. If you do not reboot the computer, you may encounter extended delays between the command to print and actual printing. (The installer prompts you to Reboot the computer but this prompt can be cancelled.)
Image Size/Number of Copies. The time between when you click print and when the printer actually prints can vary depending on the number of copies that you print and the data size of the image. For example, if you print 1000, two MB labels from an application other than Nice Label, the printer driver will take some time to convert the image file into information that the printer can understand (spooling time).
If you print from Nice Label, this time should be reduced. Nice Label automatically breaks any job into smaller jobs and sends them successively to the driver. This way the printer starts printing as soon as the first job is spooled. All of this happens behind the scenes. The only thing that you have to do is send the desired number copies and it will automatically be broken down into smaller jobs.
PC Resources. Print speed and spool time can also be affected by the resources available on your PC. Insufficient RAM will affect print time the most. Make sure your PC meets or exceeds the minimum specs:
Minimum PC Specifications:
-Pentium IV
-512 MB of RAM
-5 GB of hard drive space - This is especially necessary when printing large numbers (1000+) of labels at one time.
