The last few labels of my roll are wasted. Out of Paper error is displayed but there are still labels remaining. Is there any way to print on the last labels of the roll. (LX600, LX610, LX900, LX910, LX2000, LX1000, IP60)
By design the last 12-18” will
be wasted because the printer no longer detects a loop under the roll, or the chip on the LX600/610/ip60 detects the end of the roll. We must stop before the
last labels are fed through to prevent the tape or strong adhesive attaching the labels to the core from feeding through the printer and
getting stuck. Also, the last few labels would also not be properly aligned because
there would be no roll to help guide them straight.
Important Note about the LX610 Digital Die Cut Rolls: For the LX610, each digital die-cut roll has a chip programmed to stop after 150, 125 or 100 feet depending on the media type. The supplier adds extra material to each roll to ensure customers get all they paid for and prevent the issues described above. Each roll can have between 2-10 feet of extra material. Sometimes, the roll may have even more stock remaining if the label supplier makes a mistake. The outer diameter of LX610 digital die cut rolls should be 5.75". The outer diameter of standard pre-die cut rolls is 6". If the supplier failed to adjust their counter, the digital die-cut rolls would have more stock than they should. Rest assured, as long as your roll is 5.75" OD you have all of the label stock you have paid for.
Important Note about IP60 Photo Rolls: Each roll has a chip programmed to stop after 175 feet (except magnetic - 100 feet). The supplier adds extra material to each roll to ensure customers get all they paid for and prevent the issues described above. Each roll can have between 2-10 feet of extra material. Sometimes, the roll may have even more stock remaining if the label supplier makes a mistake. The outer diameter should be 6.00". Rest assured, as long as your roll is 6.00" OD you have at least 175 feet of label stock.
