The Inscripta is printing light or with poor quality. How can I increase print quality?
Try the following suggestions:
- Intensity. Try increasing the intensity. Go to Start - Control Panel - Printers - Right Click on the Optical Disc Printer - Choose Preferences. Now adjust the intensity by increasing it in increments of 10 until you receive an acceptable print.
- Ribbon. Try a new ribbon.
- Media. Try new quality media (CD/DVD). Test it using the media that came with the Inscripta. Media can make a very large difference in print quality. Media cannot have stacking rings on the top surface of the disc. It must be completely flat. Take a look at the Primera approved media sold at www.primerastore.com.
- Image Problems. Try printing a different image. Try printing from a different program. Try printing from SureThing. Remember that the Inscripta is intended only for images with text or graphics of one or two colors. It will not correctly print color photographs or any image that has multiple gradations of color.
- Cable. Try a different parallel cable.
