LX 2000/ LX 1000 - Error Message: failed printhead, printfailure impropershutdown

LX2000 - Error Message: failed printhead, print failure improper shutdown


Solution 1: Perform a print head alignment described below.   This will clear and resolve the mentioned error message and allow you to print. 
Solution 2: Install a new print head.

 

Alignment Instructions:


You should see a flashing print head icon on the printer control panel.  See below.

1. Open the PtStatus LX1000-2000 click on the 2nd tab on the left – click on "Align Printhead" follow the screen instructions step by step.  

 

 


 



2. Once the alignment process is finished, close PTstatus LX1000-2000 software, switch the LX2000 off (wait 1 minute) and then switch it back on.   Reopen the PTstatus LX1000-2000 software. The error message should be gone.  You will now be able to print.
