How to free up space on your hard drive by deleting BarTender Backups

Go to this location:

C:\ProgramData\Seagull\System\Database\Backup

Program Data is a hidden folder.  Delete ALL the files in this folder.  In many cases, if you have never deleted backups before, you could free up over 25 - 100 GB of space on your hard drive.  Be sure to empty your trash after you have deleted these files.

Please note that the backup files are a record of every image you have ever printed and also contain revisions of the printed documents.   You may choose to keep recent backups if you wish.

You may also prevent future backups by changing settings in the Administration Console.  Search for "Administration Console" on the Windows start menu.  Uncheck the "Archive deleted records" box in the System Database section shown below.  If you would like to still maintain backups but periodically delete them, read this article from Seagull Scientific.
