How to enable External Feed Mode on the LX3000/LX4000 so you may feed labels from an external powered unwinder.
In Primera PrintHub on PC, Go to Printer Settings - Advanced Settings Button.
Check the Disable Unwinder/External Feed Mode box to disable the
loops sensor so that you may feed label stock from an external powered unwinder through
the slot on the back of the printer. In
this mode labels placed on the internal unwinder will not longer feed. For this reason, a visual reminder is enabled
in the upper right corner of Print Hub.
Note: If you disable the rewinder the external feed device must be power assisted. A passive unwinder (unwinding from a bar) with labels will not work. The feed rollers do not have enough pull force to pull the labels from the roll.
Tip: Leave a roll of labels installed on the internal unwinder so that
your external labels will feed more easily past the roll bar.
