How do I change the Serial Number on my replacement CX1000/CX1200 print engine to match my previous PTPrint License File?
When you receive a replacement CX1000
or CX1200 you will need to change the serial number of the replacement to match
the previous serial number. This will
allow you to use the same PTPrint license.
On the New
Printer:
5. Select Printer Setup using check button.
6. Select Serial Number using check button.
7. Change SN by using UP and Down Arrows. Press the check
button once the serial number is set.
To find the previous printer SN use one of these methods:
A. Open the fuser door of the OLD printer. See picture below.
B. If you don't have the printer, find the old SN by viewing the DEVICE SERIAL inside the ProductS.ini file located in the C:\PTPrint folder.
C. If you don't have access to your PTPrint folder use the attached replacement license file and change your SN to 940XP3B
