How can I make LX900 Cartridges work in my Bravo Disc Publisher 4100 series?

As of January 1st, 2026, we have no remaining stock of the original cartridges for the 4100 series Bravo Disc Publisher (53601, 53602, 53603, 53604).  Fortunately, another model printer we sold in the past also has the same style cartridges and the same dye ink.  With a simple firmware update to your 4100, you can use the LX900 cartridges listed below in your 4100 Series Disc Publisher.
  1. Cyan SKU 53422
  2. Magenta SKU 53423
  3. Yellow SKU 53424
  4. Black SKU 53425
  5. Multipack SKU 53428
To update firmware, download the firmware updater from the link below and run it.  When successfully completed, your firmware should be version 1.13(49).  Note: on some PCs, it can take up to 3 minutes for the updater to check your 4100 firmware and appear onscreen.  Also, it is important that no errors are present on the printer before the firmware is accepted.

Mixed cartridges: You can mix LX900 and 4100 cartridges in the same print head carrier. It is the exact same ink inside the cartridges, so you should see no difference in print quality.

Note for Mac Users: This firmware update is only available for PC.  However, you can still manually update the firmware on a Mac using the procedure in this article.  The update files necessary are attached to this article.  First, you must send the "UnlockCommand.prn" and then the "Continental_KLM.fls" file.  Contact support for help with this procedure.
