How can I apply labels to empty Bag? How to apply labels more accurately using support fixtures or a jig (AP550)?
The platform of the AP550 applicator is meant
to support specialized fixtures or placement helper jigs that make it easier to quickly
place the container and more accurately place the label. The fixtures can be made out of wood, moldable plastic, polyethylene foam or cardboard to provide repeatability, accuracy, and interchangeability.
Tool Box organizing foam works very well for
this purpose. Trace the outline of your
container or bag and then cut it with a utility knife. This
foam has multiple different layers, where you cut the top layer and place it on
the bottom layers and then adhere them together by removing the adhesive protection sheet. If you are applying to flat bags
the top layer of the foam should be very thin, just enough to hold the bag in
place. - Moldable Plastic
- Cuttable polyethylene foam
Change between different sizes. If you have multiple different containers or
bag sizes you can easily swap out the fixtures.
Attaching the fixture to the platform. If you
only apply to one container size you can attach the fixture to the platform
using the slots in the bottom of the container.
