Cartridge Type Error, Cartridge is not recognized (AP-Code)

A. Check for a Damaged Cartridge.

1. Remove the cartridge from the carrier.

2. Check for damage to the copper contact leads.  See example below.   If multiple cartridges are damaged, it could mean there is a problem with you cartridge carrier. 

3. Clean the copper contacts on the cartridge with a alcohol/glasses wipe.  

4. Clean the copper contacts on the cartridge carrier with an alcohol/glasses wipe.

B. The printer may require an updated firmware (V 2.22)

Currently, this version update requires factory service. Contact Tech Support to set up a repair RMA.
