There is no SDK or printer commands for printing to the LX series printer.  The printer only accepts rasterized prints (PRN) from a driver.  The printer does not accept standard language codes like PCL or Post Script.  The LX Series printers are true raster-based Windows printers.  Our printer driver sends all of the information that needs to be printed – bit by bit.  It uses a proprietary Windows/Mac Printer Driver that must rasterize/render the print and then send it to the USB port.  It does not have built-in fonts like the legacy bar code printers from Datamax or Zebra with their ZPL/DPL code sets.  This is the way that most office/consumer printers work since the introduction of USB 1.0/2.0, fast PCs and cheap RAM.  In the past none of that was the case so printer manufacturers had to build all of the intelligence into the printers.
